The Santa Clarita Valley Blues Society's Battle of the Blues Bands. Our 25 minute set goes from 5:50 PM to 6:15 PM. Winner gets to represent the Society at the International Blues Challenge held in Memphis TN in early 2011. Twelve different acts will be competing. Music goes from 3:00 PM to 12:00 midnight. $12 admission good for entire event. Children 12 & under are free. Venue phone is (818) 222-6062. It is recommended that you show up at least 30 minutes before our start time just in case an earlier act cancels.

The 3rd Annual Castaic Days Outdoor Festival will take place the weekend of September 25 & 26, 2010 at the Castaic Lake Recreational Area in Castaic CA. The festival will include live stage entertainment sponsored by Elite Dance Studio & the SCV Blues Society, kayaking, Reptacular Animals petting zoo, the Wyland Clean Water Mobile Learning Center, children’s bouncies sponsored by the SCV Optimists Club, a classic car show, a used book sale on Saturday presented by Friends of Castaic Library, fishing demonstrations, a climbing wall, Remo drum circles, model float planes, family fair activities & more. Our 30 minute set goes from 2:50 PM to 3:20 PM on Saturday. Free admission. Parking is $5 per car.
